Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer

The fates of Cinder and Scarlet collide as a Lunar threat spreads across the Earth...

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

my reaction when i saw the book was out:

my reaction when i read the book:

Anyway. Scarlet was so much better than Cinder. Probably because there were more characters, it was written in third person view( just like in Cinder) but with much more POVs. Like Kai, Scarlet, Thorne, Cinder and Wolf(♥). Anyway, the story was pretty good, even though it was retelling of Red Riding Hood, but it was freakier, just like Cinder.

The book starts just where Cinder ended, and it's better to read The Queen's Army before reading Scarlet.

CHARACTERS:

Scarlet:

I have just one word to say before i even begin: N-A-I-V-E.

Way to much NAIVEEEEEEE!!! I don't get it how person can be so naive as she is. The only more naive person than her was Anna Whitt from Sweet Evil, who was even worse than Scarlet. I mean....you go with unknown person who is connected to people who kidnapped your family? Without any second thought that you are going into trap? I could have guessed it like...the moment when certain character showed up. Except for that, she was not so bad. She was fun and she didn't irritate me. But i still like Cinder better.

Wolf:

When i read The Queen's Army, i already liked Wolf. Except there we have his name, and it is: Ze'ev and it's so.....cool :D...Though he was called Wolf whole time...Now i just wonder, if Scarlet trusted him, why didn't she ask him to tell her his name again? See? Fishy. I must say no more.

Cinder:
Cinder is in prison. Or was in prison, until she broke out of it. See? Kick ass cyborg-Lunar-princess was awesome as usual. She is amazing in every scene and i just love her

Thorne
is a new character,20 year old felon, thief, criminal, captain of the stolen ship...who helped Cinder escape. Actually, it was other way around, since it was Cinder who actually made it happen, and Thorne had a ship. He is a womanizer, but he is cool as well :D I am glad that there were his POVs as well, since it was more interesting.

Kai:
Is it just me, or did anyone else thought about killing him on the spot??? He irritated the hell out of me. But he is still the same Kai on the inside and he is forced to make some decisions which are devastating for my heart :(((

OVERALL:

Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun book :D
I need third book out nowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!
