Cut & Run (Cut & Run #1) by Abigail Roux & Madeleine Urban

"Cut & Run Series: Book One"

A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case.

Special Agent Ty Grady is pulled out of undercover work after his case blows up in his face. He's cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does. But when he's paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it's hate at first sight. Garrett is the perfect image of an agent: serious, sober, and focused, which makes their partnership a classic clich: total opposites, good cop-bad cop, the odd couple. They both know immediately that their partnership will pose more of an obstacle than the lack of evidence left by the murderer.

Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again this time at them. Now on the run, trying to track down a man who has focused on killing his pursuers, Grady and Garrett will have to figure out how to work together before they become two more notches in the murderer's knife.

FINAL RATING: ★★★★/★★★★★

“I won’t lose you. Not now.”
“I don’t plan to get any more lost than I am,”

Well. This was fun. Really fun. And i must shamefully admit that after this one, i regret being a female. Because if i wasn't i would probably be gay -.-. Still, i will never get tired of reading MM xD, and this was nice addition to my read collection.

I adored both Ty and Zane , screw that i love Ty and Zane . And their relationship was more believable than i thought (considering that they are both straight and that one was married). And i was surprised to learn that they were both over 30 years old! Well, Ty is 34 while Zane is 42. Anyway, even though Ty irritated hell out of me in the beginning, but he was just weirdly amazing character. But Zane is total ♥♥♥. And their first sex scene was....KYAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
OVERHEATING ALARM! PLEASE EVACUATE FROM THE ROOM BEFORE YOU EXPLODE OF HAPPINESS AND.... OTHER THINGS!!!

“You woke me up,” Ty said accusingly. “Why do you want to know? What does it matter what I’m afraid of?” he asked, obviously unable to let the conversation go.
Zane blinked in surprise. “It matters to me,” he said quietly. “I want to know. So I...,” His voice trailed off and he swallowed. “So I can protect you.”
Ty sniffed. “Protect me from being afraid?”
“Protect you when you’re afraid,” Zane corrected.

The story was not bad at all. It was just predictable. I could have guessed some things from the beginning, but it was still interesting, and i loved it to bits. I also love that the cases were connected to (real spoiler) Edgar Alan Poe, who i like . And i was glad that there were many action scenes.

That's it. Can't wait to read more :D
